In looking into bug 1502378 I noticed some strangeness in the distribution of "main" ping reasons amongst pingsender/non-pingsender clients, specifically an increase in the number of environment-change pings in September. I think we should look into that.

This increase, which features most prominently in Windows and Mac is coincident with the upgrade of ESR clients from 52.9 to 60.2
Nothing to worry about here, though I do wonder what an analysis like bug 1483477 might turn up.
