I'm listening to a talk on airmozilla and when I switched focus to another tab the audio cuts out. If I navigate to a pinned gmail tab it usually cuts out within 10 seconds. I'd expect the background audio to keep playing even when navigating away focus from the tab.
Similar reported issue in Bug 1497932 and Bug 1503337, I am not sure which one is the most comprehensive to follow up ...
