User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.13; rv:63.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/63.0 Steps to reproduce: Open history or bookmarks sidebar. Use the 'show sidebars' button next to the url bar. Issue appears regardless of theme selected. Fix attempts: - Changing themes [and restarting firefox] (no impact) - Restarting in safe mode (no impact) Actual results: The sidebar has black background, and what appears to be a badly rendered black font with a white outline - in effect very hard to read, definitely not as is supposed to be. Expected results: Text should be clear and readable. The background should probably be lightly-coloured, to match the theme.

Summary: history sidebar unreadable → History sidebar unreadable - badly rendered text on black background.
I verified this issue on Macbook 10.13 with the latest Firefox release verion 63.0 and I cannot reproduce it. Can you please test this in safe mode? Here is a link that can help you: https://goo.gl/AR5o9d. I think it will be a good idea to retest this on the latest Firefox Nightly. Here is a link form where you can download it: https://nightly.mozilla.org. If you still have the issue please create a new profile, you have the steps here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Managing-profiles#w_starting-the-profile-manager

(In reply to Daniel_A[:daschilean] from comment #1) Issue persists in safe mode, and in nightly. However, it is fixed by creating a new profile, even after I synced all my data using firefox sync. Does that mean I probably messed with some options in about:config? Anyway, the bug can probably be closed. Thanks.

Based on Comment2 I will mark this as Resolved-WFM. If the issue is still reproducible with the latest Firefox version, feel free to reopen the bug. Maybe some add-ons caused this issue.
