[Note]:
- Must have a snap build installed (e.g. sudo snap install firefox --beta).
[Affected versions]:
- Fx64.0b7
- Fx65.0a1
- Fx64.0b7 devEd
[Affected platforms]:
- Ubuntu 16.04
[Steps to reproduce]:
1. Launch a Firefox nightly build from the console (notice the icon displayed on the launcher bar).
2. Right click the Fx icon on the launcher bar, and choose the option to lock it on the launcher bar.
3. Close Fx.
4. Click on the Fx icon on the launcher bar.
[Expected result]:
- The Fx nightly build starts.
[Actual result]:
- The installed snap build starts.
[Regression range]:
- This is not a regression. Managed to reproduce the issue on Ubuntu 14 as well, using an old Fx build that was available for a packaged install.
[Additional notes]:
- The correct launcher icon for a nightly or devEdition build is displayed when launching Fx via double clicking the Fx executable file.
- If a beta build is launched by double clicking the executable file, it will have the nightly icon displayed on the launcher bar.

Installer isn't the right component for this: there is no actual installer on Linux. I'm not sure this is even a Firefox bug at all, it might be something Canonical would have to fix.
