After upgrade to mozilla 1.0 i coulnd't save information for startpage in preferences permanently. I had to delete the old preferences in the home dir. Then it worked for one day. But today the same bug re-appeared: The startpage is "http://www.mozilla.org/start/1.0/" again. When I enter a different homepage as startpage it works until i restart mozilla. Then it is again "http://www.mozilla.org/start/1.0/".
same thing happens with the information concerning the prefered search engine. after restart of mozilla it switches back to netscape search instead of google which i had entered
i looked in the file prefs.js. there was a incomplete last line with the content:user_pref(" The problem disappeared as I deleted that incomplete line. The last thing i did before the problem appeared was that i entered information about my mail account. I think that was the reason though no error message appeared as I finished the entry
hm.. a ghost
