User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:63.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/63.0 Steps to reproduce: 1. Selected Help 2. Selected About Nightly 3. noticed the resulting screen says it is up today 4. noticed the menu icon at right indicates an update is available Actual results: Help -> About Nightly is saying it is up to date even though the menu icon says an update is available. Because the Help -> About Nightly sequence claims it is up to date, it cannot be used to bring down the latest build. My system was at 20181107100135 when in fact, 20181109101751 was available. Expected results: My expectation was that a refresh of Firefox Nightly could be obtained using Help -> About Nightly -> check for updates. This has been possible until lately.
Operating system is: Linux 4.4.0-138-generic Update channel is: nightly
Component: Untriaged → Application Update
Product: Firefox → Toolkit
Bug 1506371 is described as a situation were there are multiple versions of firefox nightly. In this situation (bug 1506238), there is only one version of firefox nightly on the system.
Bug 1506371 comment 4 confirms that bug applies to a single installation as well, and started happening at the same time. And bug 1506371 appears to be widespread if not universal (it's been showing up for me as well), so this is very very likely the same bug.
