I tested this issue on Mac OS X 10.13 with FF 63 release and I updated it to FF 63.0.1 release after which I reset my FF account password but I can't reproduce this issue. Did you update it from 62 to 63.0.1 version?
yes it was from 62 to 63.0.1 and during update it crashed couple of times too.

Hi Harsh, I'm sorry this bug appears to have fallen between the cracks, 6 months without any comment from the sync team is pretty poor form on our part.
I did a an update of firefox and reset firefox account password
Did you reinstall Firefox or create a new profile or something like that as part of the update?
In other words: were the passwords deleted locally and you expected them to be restored via Firefox Sync?
If so, this is unfortunately expected behaviour - resetting the Firefox Account password destroys the encryption keys that are used to protected your sync data when stored on our servers, so there is no way for us to restore your saved data after resetting the account password.
