1. Add a new gmail account with OAuth2 for imap.gmail.com
2. Click next and see the blank window popping up
3. Try to insert your credentials....

Adding a new mail account using OAuth for imap.gmail.com will pop-up a window to insert credentials with gmail, but the window is blank and is not possible to insert the gmail credentials, only the url on the top of the window is visible.
The imap is active on gmail account and "non secure" apps are allowed

This happens on latest Fedora and Ubuntu distribution with thunderbird-60.3.0-1

Additional info: The imap is active on gmail account and "non secure" apps are allowed

Actual results: Thunderbird can't authenticate



Expected results:

Expected results: After inserting credentials thunderbird get authorized.

Have you tried it with "non secure" apps not allowed?

I just encountered this same problem today on Ubuntu 16.04.5 LTS and thunderbird:amd64/xenial-security 1:60.2.1+build1-0ubuntu0.16.04.4 uptodate 

"non secure" apps are allowed on my Gmail account due to lack of oAuth capability in my Android client, K9-Mail.

It eventually sorted itself out on a subsequent attempt and just worked as expected.
