I have read several other bugs and tried workarounds that I mention through this description. I am still unable to create a Trash folder that will successfully empty. I am using a corporate IMAP mail account hosted from a Sun workstation (model and OS unknown). I am running Mozilla release build 1.0 on Windows 2000 with the most recent service patches installed. My prior mail setup was Netscape 4.7 with the same mail server. Mozilla copied over my preferences upon startup. Receiving mail works fine. All of my mail filters work fine. I can subscribe/unsubscribe from folders that exist on my IMAP server. For some reason I cannot empty my trash folder. When I try to empty it, I get the following Alert: "The current command did not succeed. The mail server responded: SELECT failed: Can't open mailbox : no such mailbox." From this point on, I cannot delete messages in my Inbox. If I try to delete a message in my Inbox, I get the following Alert: "The current command did not succeed. The mail server responded: UID COPY failed: Can't append to mailbox : no such mailbox." At this point, if I open my Trash folder I can see the messages that have been previously deleted. If I go back to my Inbox, I can read and delete messages normally. The problems start back up again when I try to empty the Trash folder. At that point, I can't delete messages again until I look at the contents of the Trash folder, and I can find no way of emptying the trash short of deleting the Trash file on my IMAP server. I have tried referring to my IMAP server by it's IP address instead of by name because I saw a bug that IMAP servers that were named imap could cause problems with Trash folders. This does not work, and there are no other aliases on my companies network for the imap server. I also tried using the fully qualified name and that didn't work either. I tried removing MSF file for "Trash" in my mozilla settings directory for my imap server thinking that it might create a new MSF file that would fix the problem. It created the new entry, but the problem still exists.
