I've been using OMTP for ages with no issues on BQ Aquaris X5 and Sony Xperia X Compact. On my low end BQ phone I think it helps keep scrolling smooth when I'm scrolling while the page is still loading. On the Sony I'm not sure I can tell any difference.

Hi Mark, Could you help me with some more precise Steps to reproduce, because I am not very clear on the issue reported by you. Thank you!

Oh, sorry OMTP is Off Main Thread Painting https://mozillagfx.wordpress.com/2017/12/05/off-main-thread-painting/ It's enabled on Desktop but is disabled by default on Firefox Android. I have had it enabled for many months on my Android phones and I think it does improve performance on slow phones. So perhaps it's time to enable it by default on Android?? I think this bug is one for the Graphics team.
