Steps to reproduce:

Playing short bits of audio using the Firefox Beta (v64.0) on my Android phone. Specifically, audio for sentences and words on the Duolingo.com.


Actual results:

The audio cuts short, a second or less before it's actually over, but enough to be noticeable and hinder my usage of Duolingo.com on Firefox Mobile (it usually cuts the final word in the sentence or the last few syllables in the final word, which makes understanding words/sentences considerably more difficult).


Expected results:

The audio should play on its entirety, not cutting any words or syllables. When using Chrome (v70.0.3538.110) on the same phone, the audio plays on its entirety with no issues.

Does this also happen with Desktop Firefox (including if you fake a mobile UA string and use responsive design mode to try get the same page as on a real mobile device)?

Hi Jan,

I faked a mobile UA string and used responsive design mode to try to get the same page as on a real mobile device, and I could not reproduce the issue anymore.

I could reproduce on Xiaomi MiPad 2 (Android 5.1) - x86 architecture, with the latest Nightly (2018-11-27) and on Sony Xperia Z2 (Android 6.0.1).

Note: I`ve attached a logcat.

Reproducible also with Google Pixel (Android 9.0), on latest Nightly 65.0a1 (2018-11-27).

Note: From what I`ve tested, only the man`s voice is interrupted, the woman`s voice is not (tested Spanish and Italian).
