Back in bug 1437956, I didn't do that because UA Widget wasn't implemented. It would be nice to set the XML Pretty Print Shadow Root as a UA Widget Shadow Root so we are protected by various security features and assertions there.
Just uploaded my patch from another bug. I am not sure if we want to land this before the pref removal, given that if so this will become one UA Widget Shadow Root usage that cannot be turned of.
