Selecting any of the different options in Home settings for Homepage does not work

Details
It could be the work around the new home is not finished, but just in case this is not forgotten this bug is filed.
Steps
Go to Settings -> Home
Select any of the options
Open a new website or a new tap and go to BrowserTabMenu -> Home
Actual
The default Firefox Home is shown
Expected
User should be taken to home, as it has been chosen
