Hi jlhillhouse,

Can you please mention on which site does this issue occur?

all of them

I'm unable to reproduce the issue, all e-mail addresses and passwords are saved and e-mail addresses are auto-filled.
Please make sure to have "Ask to save logins and passwords for websites" option checked in about:preferences#privacy and choose to save when the prompt is displayed.

If this doesn't solve it, try using a clean profile and even safe mode to eliminate custom settings as a possible cause.

I double checked what you suggested and it is set correctly. what i'm talking about is some sites only ask for a email log in and firefox nightly does not fill it in where centbrowser and slimjet browser do fill them in?

i don't understand this statement----"If this doesn't solve it, try using a clean profile and even safe mode to
eliminate custom settings as a possible cause." i don't want to do a start over with all options why can't the developers/programers reprogram to make it happen. just log in to a website that only requires your email login but not a password?
It would be of great use if you could share here those specific sites so I can also try it out :)
Reprogramming to make it happen requires a bit more investigations and information than what is provided in this bug report so far.

The clean profile and safe mode I mentioned is used to determine if the issue is due to some custom settings you can set up in preferences and installed add-ons have also a great chance to cause issues (+ all other possible custom settings). Safe mode and a clean profile will start firefox without any of the mentioned items in order to verify if its indeed a Firefox "core" bug.
First, we need to find the reason why this happens, concrete steps to reproduce and preconditions and then hand it over to the developers to work on it.

Please try to understand the methodology and what is required so I can guide you to investigate further.

Thanks.
