build 2002061104. to reproduce: two ways: 1. click on the message, click <ctrl>-A or: 2. Edit->Select-All Would expect all message in the mail bos to be selected, instead all text in the current message is selected.
Actualy, it started working, so it may be related to something else
WFM. You probably had focus on the message pane rather than the thread pane. Filed bug 161395 for select all not doing anything until you move focus away from the thread pane and back.

Actualy I had right plane in focus (I checked for that), but this bug was resulved with newer builds.
