User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.12; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0 SeaMonkey/2.49.4 Steps to reproduce: I visited https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-018-07494-8 Actual results: The image of the figure does not show up in SeaMonkey. Expected results: The image should show up. It shows up in Safari (Version 12.0.1 (12606.2.104.1.2)) and the latest FireFox (63.0.3). I downloaded the html page. At the top of the page is a message: Thank you for visiting nature.com. You are using a browser version with limited support for CSS. To obtain the best experience, we recommend you use a more up to date browser (or turn off compatibility mode in Internet Explorer). In the meantime, to ensure continued support, we are displaying the site without styles and JavaScript. This may be a clue as to what is wrong. The problem images is in code like this: <img class="figure__image" alt="" data-src="trex1.tiny.jpg"> <noscript> <img class="" alt="" src="trex1.tiny.jpg"> </noscript> Where I have substituted my own image, trex1.tiny.jpg. Unfortunately this does not display on any browser. However, if I add this line: <img src = "trex1.tiny.jpg"> I DO get my image, demonstrating that my image is ok and that the file can read it. I've attached a minimal example. Unfortunately the image does not appear on Safari or Firefox. I hope someone who knows this code better will know what the problem is.

I do not see a Trex with SM or FF or Opera.
I checked page source code: no "trex1" string found. Irreproducible!

@Reporter: Please feel free to reopen this Bug if you still can reproduce the problem with a current SeaMonkey version and a current OS and if you can contribute a step by step instruction how other users can reproduce the problem reliably due to https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/QA/Bug_writing_guidelines (containing every key press and every mouse click).

I now have the latest macOS 10.14.4, with all updates.
I have the SeaMonkey 2.49.4 which is the latest as far as I know.

With SeaMonkey I go to:
https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-018-07494-8
There is a legend at the bottom of the page for 'Figure 1' but no figure above it.

With FireFox 66.0.3 (About says "Firefox is up to date") there is an image above
the Figure 1 legend.

The SeaMonkey failure happens both when I am on a computer with a subscription to Nature
and also when I am on a different computer that does not have a subscription.

The SeaMonkey failure still happens after I clear the cache
(which fixes some blank pages that SeaMonkey has trouble with).
