Winnie, did you have a copy of the MRJPlugin.plugin in your ~/.mozilla/plugins
folder? I had that, and saw what looked like a hang. When I took it out, I don't
get any crash. I believe that if you try this with the latest build (mine's from
this morning) you won't see a crash any longer, because I've disabled loading of
the MRJPluginCarbon CFM plugin.

This works for me now too, after I took out MRJplugin.plugin from my plugins
folder. I found out I had to restart my system for this to take effect though -
simply deleting the file and going back to chimera didn't suffice. Nor did
quitting chimera and relaunching it.
Anyway, I take it that I don't need to put MRJplugin.plugin back in my plugins
folder? Just went to java.sun.com (with my empty plugins folder) and the page
seemed to have loaded properly.

Works for me too. I originally tested using the nightly build of 10th June. Last
night I downloaded the latest build (13th June) and this didn't crash, but did
hang. I then trashed the MRJPlugin and it works fine. Chimera works fine without
the plugin, but do other browsers need it?
