1512484 - Allow to specify default version per product

I keep having to set this every time I file a build system bug and it's annoying. Could you please set the default to "trunk"?

Versions do not have their own sorting key and are instead sorted alphanumerically. The last one in the list is normally the one that is pre-selected. Although, we do currently set a cookie per product with the last version used for filing, so that the next time you file a bug under that product, it pre-selects the last version you used. Is this not occurring for you?

It seems like that does work. Does this setting get persisted for my user account or what? I filed this bug because I was filing a few bugs and I noticed that I kept having to explicitly set the Version field, so there clearly was some way this was broken!

Well it is a cookie so it will not work across browsers, devices, containers, etc. It is not stored server side.

The last selected version cookie has been removed in Bug 1565319. This issue affects the BMO product as well. Staging is selected by default instead of Production, and it’s annoying. Let’s add the Default Version field to products, just like Default Milestone.
