I think we have regressed this since Firefox 57 with the Photon redesign.

You are right, I was confused at the beginning because I was thinking to the Library window, this is about the Library panel instead! The current downloads list in the library panel is coherent with the history in the library panel, there we show global history indeed... *BUT* it is not coherent with Show all downloads in the same view, that opens about:downloads that only shows private downloads. I think it should be coherent with about:downloads, thus, as you said, it should only show private downloads.

(In reply to Marco Bonardo [::mak] from comment #2) > The current downloads list in the library panel is coherent with the history > in the library panel, there we show global history indeed... Oh hmm, do we want to do that in a private window?

well, in a private window there's no history, so the menu would be empty if we did.

just working my way through old privacy issues
STR
- open Firefox in non-private mode, download a file, click
hamburger > downloads
(or go Ctrl-J, or click the download icon on the toolbar), see your downloaded item listed - open a new private window, download is no longer shown
I actually fail to see this was a privacy concern, the original window is still open, and OP should control their device when in use. PB mode is about not retaining PB mode disk data, not normal mode. But anyway, seems fixed now
Luke? Close as WORKSFORME?

I tested it as WFM in Nightly 122. Clicking on the toolbar Library/Downloads opens about:downloads that only shows private downloads.
