User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:63.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/63.0 Steps to reproduce: Updated to newest edition (65, I think? 11th Dec 2018). Actual results: THE WHOLE **** THING DIED. Dead screen, no bookmarks, and no response when entering a URL. Typing URL brought a dropdown of URL history, so it wasn't fully dead. No reponse at all aftert that though. See the attached screenshot image to see the entirety of what I was able to work with. Expected results: Normal opening of Firefox... Honesty I'm sick of the updates. I've turned off automatic updates after reinstalling from an old Firefex exe. I won't update again for a whole now. What a **** massive pain in the **** this has been. Is Frefox 'Quantum' Dev edition actually better, or are you just using it as a clever gimmick to get a load of users in to act as guinea pigs on your newest releases? Please let me know. If so, I'm going back to normal Firefox. Great browser, but this 'Developer Edition' is markedly worse in most ways, and yes I do use it for development.
erm... small additional comment. Sorry for the rage. I'm halfway through working on a project here. The last thing I want is annoying automatic updates that crash the entire browser. I can't access bookmarks, can't do work at all. This isn't how updates are supposed to be rolled out. Very annoying!
Also, it might be worth noting that I've been forced to turn off the updates at this point because the old version I'm now using will die again if it updates again. I tried several times. I'm trapped using an old version for now.
I'm sorry you're having trouble, but there's no actionable information in this report. 1. Does the problem also occur when starting with add-ons disabled (Safe Mode)? 2. If yes, does it happen in a brand new profile? 3. If yes, does it also happen with the latest Nightly in a brand new profile? https://developer.mozilla.org/docs/Mozilla/QA/Bug_writing_guidelines
