Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Fedora; Linux x86_64; rv:64.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/64.0 Steps to reproduce: Fx allows you to save and edit "Top Sites" in Home Content - however, if something occurs where you need to reinstall Fx all those settings are lost and you must manually recreate. Additionally, if you install Fx on multiple devices and use Fx Sync to restore bookmarks, passwords, etc. your settings in Fx Home are not sync'd. This is a glaring oversight. Expected results: Home content settings should be saved as other settings via Fx Sync so they can be restored either on other devices or when you re-install Fx.
Another comment... I've read where you can manually make a copy of your profile folder and restore it as described here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles However, that isn't an acceptable solution for a couple of reasons: 1. It's not intuitive for non-technical users. People expect the settings on the Fx Home to be easily restored and synchronized - especially since some of them (such as the customization of "Top Sites") isn't trivial - especially if you have alot of them. 2. There have been times (when whatever reason) that the profile becomes corrupted and I need to reinstall. If I just blindly restore from a backup copy - that file may have the issue. To fix, I need to restore and re-sync.
