Details

This problem appears to be specific to Netscape 6.2.3. Netscape 6.2.1 does not exhibit the same behavior. When you click in the scrolling applet, some objects in the browser become unresponsive, such as input fields in forms, and the address bar. The Mozilla bug tracking system lists several bugs that are similar to this problem. The work around is to do a garbage collection in the java console of the netscape browser. Open the java console and type the letter g. When it's finished, return to the browser. The problem should be fixed.
