Steps to reproduce:
Watching an episode of General Hospital. Can view on Microsoft Edge.

Actual results:
This week: after commercial break no video; audio okay.
Last week: after commercial break the audio would start again from beginning of episode.
Expected results:
Should be able to watch the video, not just hear it.

If you disable your adblocker and/or try with a fresh profile (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles) do you still see the issue?

I've already tried disabling AdBlock which didn't help.
I certainly don't want to permanently remove my FF profile but wouldn't mind trying it on a "fresh" one. Can you walk me thru the steps? I only have limited experience with switching profiles.

In brief: if you start firefox.exe with the -p flag `firefox.exe -p` from the start menu you will be presented with the profile manager (note that Firefox will need to be before running the command for this to not open another window in your already running profile). In that window you should have a 'default' profile, and also have a number of options around managing profiles. If you create a new profile here and start Firefox with that profile then we can check if the issue is at all profile related. Once you've checked, feel free to delete the new profile from the same menu.

Hi Bryce,
Again, my apologies for not responding sooner. I guess it's not terribly high on my priority list since I have a "work-around" for this bug (being that I have no problem when I use a different browser; but it would be nice if I didn't need to do that...I prefer to always use FF).
I created a new profile and watched the show up until the point where the error occurs (ie after any commercial break there's no video and the audio begins from the beginning of the show). There was no error when using a new profile, so it appears that this error is related to my old profile. Can we fix this so I don't have to start using the new profile?
I appreciate all your help and look forward to hearing from you again.
As an aside, the instructions you gave me for creating a new profile brought up a small dialogue box. In the past when I've worked with my profiles I accessed a page that listed all the various profiles I've used. Would you mind please explaining how I got to that page and how does it differ from the small dialogue box. I enjoy learning more about how things work!

The issue not happening in a fresh profile indicates its likely settings or addons causing the issue. Addons is the easier to start with. If you navigate to about:addons and try disabling all addons, and see if that fixes the issue. If it does, try enabling the addons one by one to see which one (or combination) results in the issue. If that doesn't help, let me know and we can try changing preferences.
With regards to the different preference management, there's also about:profiles. If you navigate there, does it look like the right page?
