1517278 - Firefox window grows with every launch

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:64.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/64.0

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open Firefox
2. Close Firefox
3. Repeat


Actual results:

Non-maximized browser window grows with every launch.  Eventually window expands beyond limits and borders are lost.


Expected results:

Window size should stay the same.

I wasn't been able to reproduce this issue on Windows 10 using Firefox 64.0 or Firefox Nightly 66.0a1

Could you test if the issue occurs in safe mode (without extensions), here is a link that can help you with that:

Hi,

Thank you for looking into this.

I have tested with:

• Windows Safe Mode, problem persists.
• Firefox Safe Mode, problem persists.
• New profile, problem persists.

However, I did isolate the problem to having the setting in Display / Scale and layout ("Change the size of text, apps , and other items") to anything different from 100%.

Also, the window does not always grow at the same rate or in the same direction. But, it always grows (never shrinks).

This looks like a problem in the underlying window widget code - in that it reports incorrect sizes to session restore when Display / Scale and layout ("Change the size of text, apps , and other items") is used.
