1517656 - thunderbird(flatpak) cant open my snap package of either opera or firefox for opening links

Steps to reproduce:

MY SYSTEM IS KDE NEON USER EDITION 18.04 WITH KERNEL 4.15

1)install the flatpak of thunderbird, 
2)try a url link within an email, it gives me a window to choose application to open the http/s 
3) try to navigate from within 'choose application' window to either /snap/bin (where my snap packages are) or usr/bin/falkon ( where the browser i downloaded directly from the package manager is)      
4) you cant see the /snap DIRECTORY nor  the the EXECUTABLE FILE for falkon in usr/bin


Actual results:

after installing the flatpak of thunderbird, whenever i try a url link within an email, it gives me a window to choose application to open the http/s link. the thing is that when browsing to the location(from within that 'choose application' window) where my snap package is ( /snap/bin/firefox) the window doesnt even show a snap directory in the root folder. 
From within that same 'choose application' window i tried to browse to the location of the falkon browser ( usr/bin/falkon)( i installed this directly from the package manager to test whether if it was in issue with snap packages) and i could not find falkon anywhere.

then i used the package manager to install thunderbird (not a flatpak) and it was able to use my default browser automatically( which the flatpak version didnt) and also to navigate to /usr/bin/falkon  and /snap/bin/firefox.


Expected results:

- flatpak thunderbird should automatically use my system default browser to open links
- i should be able to navigate to my /snap folder or the usr/bin folder and choose my browser from there

Sorry for the delay,

Hopefully the issue has already been resolved but, unfortunately the flatpak version isn't maintained by Thunderbird.

Please contact the flatpak maintainer to solve the issue.
