Flod tells me that this locale is very poorly maintained. Not much we can really do about this bug unless someone from that community comes along and fixes it, I guess.

I'm not sure there's a lot of value in filing these bugs. Both 'or' and 'as' are locales without contributors, and we're likely going to drop them in the near future.

Hi everyone, I take the partial blame for the lack of contribution part. But in a volunteer-driven community it is not always easy, as you all would know, to have a consistence of new contributors or some very active contributors. Many staff-led activities back during 2013-15 did result a growth in the contribution but it did not sustain for long. I'd still request to not drop Odia and consider the recent contributions. They are not comparable to other locales but they are not too bad too. We now have a very active contributor and a moderately active one. I try to localize when I can but none is perfect. That said, thanks for bringing this issue and I and others will try to localize the essential ones like the above.

Sorry, the decision to drop Odia from Firefox was made several months back, and it's not going to change at this point.

The locale is at 50%, and didn't show any activity on Pontoon for the past 2 years. High priority strings for Firefox are at 41%, which means more than half the browser is in English.

The project remains enabled in Pontoon. If the team can translate high priority parts, and keep up with translations for a few cycles, we'll be happy to add it back to Nightly. In the meantime, there are other options available to train new contributors (hopefully we'll be able to open the new mobile browser to more languages soon, there are websites like Monitor or Send, and Firefox for iOS is already there).

Having said that, the team needs to grow beyond 2 contributors. The barrier to add a locale to Firefox is much higher than it used to be in the past, it's not just about reaching a point where the browser can ship, it's also about making sure that the browser is updated after that.

Closing as WONTFIX. If we'll be able to add back Odia to Firefox, it'll need to go through review.
