Details

I was on a hangout this afternoon, and couldn't hear one of the participants (Reese, running nightly) when everyone else could.

A bit later (I was futzing around with dialing in on a telephone, so didn't pay attention to exactly what changed) I could hear Reese, but then couldn't hear someone else when they spoke (not actually sure who it was or what browser they were using).

Ended up joining with chrome and everything was fine.

jib and me experienced a similar issue with Hangouts this morning. It was working fine initially for 30min. Then jib couldn't hear me any more. After jib re-joined the call he could hear me, but I couldn't hear him any more. Then I tried to re-join the call and the result was that I could hear jib again, but he couldn't hear me any more.

So it seems like the person joining last is missing incoming audio from other participants. I did not notice anything unusual on about:webrtc (e.g. I saw incoming audio packets being reported).
