1518755 - Enable markdown on the user story field

Now we have markdown on the comments, it would be nice to enable it for the user story field as well. This way we could format them nicely and generally help to make them more readable.

Do we still need the custom User Story field, btw? Since comments are now editable, you can include any user story in the first comment (aka bug description) and update it any time. Of course we cannot remove the field that people have already used, but we could hide it from new edits.

Yeah I vote we obsolete it as well.

Would people watching the bug get notified of updates if the comment was edited? That is the only thing I could see that might be missing.

Currently no email notification is sent when a comment is edited, but we are discussing the solution in Bug 1524884.

I’d close this Markdown enhancement as WONTFIX and file a bug for deprecating the User Story field that depends on Bug 1524884.
