when trying to open more than one browser window, window pops up saying default profile already in use

im on linux-mandrake 8.2 and when i downloaded and installed mozilla 1.1alpha, i
now get a window popping up every time i try to open up more than one window
saying that default profile is in use, to either make another profile, rename
the profile or exit. if i choose Continue, it will say it cannot continue
because its in use, and if i choose Exit, it will continue loading as usual the
way it should.
you try to open a second instance and mozilla doesn't allow it to avoid profile
corruption.
This check is new.
