The original design had Search with <engine> as the placeholder text in the search box for the new Private Browsing UI - https://mozilla.invisionapp.com/share/RCOSEBEGW8Q#/screens

In about:newtab (Activity Stream), the placeholder text says "Search the Web". UX (BBell) says we should make them match as long as they both show the engine logo on the left.

Bug 1518866 had the other strings for the new UI and already landed.

This bug was about adding 'Search the Web' string to aboutPrivateBrowsing.dtd for new UI with search and I have seen the feature being implemented with latest Nightly in Windows 10, 64 Bit!
