User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:64.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/64.0

Steps to reproduce:

Go to a login page, start typing email.

Actual results:

A list of previously used email will pop out on top of the input and cover it.

Expected results:

The list should appear below the text input.

I tried to reproduce on Ubuntu 16.04 on Firefox 64.02 and Nightly 67.0a1 (2019-01-28) bud didn't manage.

Please test if the issue occurs in safe mode (without add-ons), here is a link that can help you with that:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

If the issue still occurs try using a new profile and test it again, you can find the steps here:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Managing-profiles#w_starting-the-profile-manager

Still happening in Safe mode and in normal mode with a new profile.

Maybe I should precise that I'm running Elementary OS 5.0 Juno.

I checked on my laptop which is also running Elementary Juno: the problem wasn't there. The difference is that I installed Firefox with snapd on it. Just did the same on my desktop and the problem is gone.

Problem with:
Firefox 64.0
Mozilla Firefox for Ubuntu
canonical - 1.0

But no problem with:
64.0.2 (64-bit)
Mozilla Firefox Snap for Ubuntu
canonical-002 - 1.0

If you want me to check something else feel free to ask :)

We don't have Elementary OS 5.0 Juno. As a starting point, I will mark a component for this issue.

Component: Untriaged → Layout
Product: Firefox → Core

This seems to me more like a Widget issue than Layout; moving to that component.

Component: Layout → Widget: Gtk

Now the problem is present in snap packages (for several month, don't remember when it happened). Any update on that? Do you need more information?

Severity: normal → S3
