Details

I would like to request a new Bugzilla component under DevTools for
the forthcoming work on implementing a the server-side of a new
remote debugging protocol based on CDP in Firefox. I think a good
name for it would be ‘Remote Agent’.

Please let me know if you need a more detailed and “official”
description or any other information.

Putting me as the triage owner would be fine.

Yeah we will need a description for the component as well.

A longer description

The Firefox remote agent is a low-level debugging interface based on the
CDP protocol.

With it, you can inspect the state and control execution of documents
running in web content, instrument Gecko in interesting ways, simulate
user interaction for automation purposes, and debug JavaScript execution.

This component provides an experimental and partial implementation
of a remote devtools protocol based on CDP.
