On a build pulled just after the carpool on Wed. afternoon:
Run apprunner.  Bring up the prefs dialog.  Click on "Formatting" under mail (or
some other line -- this happens on other lines as well).

This is _probably_ not shuang's fault -- candace, this looks more like a XUL
issue. But, if you want to triage it, I'd be much obliged! Thanks...

this seems to have fixed itself. i cannot reproduce. let me know if i'm full of
it.

I haven't seen crashing in the prefs on Linux in some time... verifying WFM.

Bulk move of all Pref UI component bugs to new Preferences component.  Pref UI 
component will be deleted.
