RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1473294

People

(Reporter: kds, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:64.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/64.0

Steps to reproduce:

I changed the option "Start the week on" to Sunday, to coincide with my work roster.

Closed Thunderbird.

Restarted Thunderbird later

Actual results:

Every time I restart Thunderbird, the start of week option has reverted to Monday.

I have just updated to v50 to see if it has been fixed. It has not

Expected results:

Thunderbird should have remembered my option, and shown the calendar with Sunday as the first day. (This was the case up to an update was applied a few weeks ago).

It appears this option is not being saved and/or loaded on restarting.

Sorry I put version as 50, should read 60.5

Version: 50 Branch → 60

That issue was fixed a while ago, hmm.

Component: Untriaged → Preferences
Product: Thunderbird → Calendar
Version: 60 → Lightning 6.2.4

Can you please post here the information from the Internationalization & Localization section of the troubleshooting page (menu->help->troubleshooting information)? What is the first day of the week where you're living?

The first day of the week for where I live depends on the job you are working in!

My job it is Sunday, other people have other days. Is that not why it is customisable in settings?

A new release came out today (60.5.1) but the problem is still there.

I have noticed that if I change the options for start of week to Sunday, the first time I restart, Sunday is shown as the start of the week. However the second time I restart, it has reverted back to Monday.

Changing the option during that first restart to another day and back again doesn't seem to make a difference, ie if I change the option to Monday then back to Sunday, the next time I log in it has reverted to Monday.

Just as an experiment, I tried changing the start of the week to Tuesday. It did appear to remember this day, ie every time I restarted it showed Tuesday.

So something peculiar about having Sunday as the start of the week.
