+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1443655 +++

Fenix issues are being tracked in Github but that's not working for security bugs that need to be hidden and tie into other security triage mechanisms. We'd like a new product that's just for security bugs.

There's a separate Bug #1524013 that was just resolved for creating the Fenix product with a General component.

Product: Fenix
Classification: Client Software
Security Group: firefox-core-security (we could even default this on new bugs)
Description: Security bugs in the Fenix mobile clients.
All other bugs should be filed in Github (more info)

            'more info' should link to
            https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/

Component: Security: Android
Description: Security bugs in Fenix for Android. Other Fenix for Android bugs
should be filed at
https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/fenix/issues
Triage Owner: sdaswani@mozilla.com

Need clarification. Are you asking for a new component 'Security: Android' to be added to the recently create 'Fenix' product? Or are you asking for a new product such as 'Fenix Security' with a single component 'Security: Android'. Just need to make sure.

Yes. Sorry for the confusion. I copied an older bug and it probably caused it.

To clarify my last comment: I believe we want the former. As long as we can keep all bugs there private.

(In reply to Colin Lee from comment #3)

To clarify my last comment: I believe we want the former. As long as we can keep all bugs there private.

Default privacy settings are configured on the product level and unfortunately not by component. So whatever setting we do, it would be for both General and Security: Android. If you wanted them to be different we would need two separate products. We could make the firefox-core-security group be checked by default and it can be unchecked if someone wants the bug to be public.

Sounds good?

I believe we want our bug Components and Products to have the same settings and behavior as Focus currently does.

Added.
