Affected versions
- Nightly 67.0a1 (20190131093752)
- Firefox 66.0b3 (20190128143734)
- Firefox 65.0 build2 (20190124174741)
Affected platforms
- Windows 10 x64
- Ubuntu 18.04
- macOS 10.11.6
Steps to reproduce
- Launch Firefox and go to https://mail.google.com.
- Login with valid credentials.
- Click “Compose” to compose a new email.
- Paste a long string in the email body (e.g. this link “https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=150510”) until the vertical scrollbar from the “New message” window appears.
- Type random text at the end of the pasted text until the horizontal scrollbar appears.
Expected result
- One (or no) horizontal scrollbar appears.
Actual result
- The horizontal scrollbar is duplicated and overlapped.
- Attached a screen recording with the issue: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1EXE8kl-tmg8erQcaii-pfxsAywxIlFHP.
Regression range
- I tried to search for a regression but with no luck because the issue is reproducible all the way back to Firefox 36.0a1 (2014-11-02) - this is the last version of Firefox that can display the compose window .
Additional notes
- I investigated this behaviour on Chrome and I noticed that no horizontal scrollbar appears in the compose window regardless how long the inserted string is.
