RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1425747

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_14_2) AppleWebKit/605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/12.0.2 Safari/605.1.15

Steps to reproduce:

Safari and Chrome both implement a usability feature on macOS whereby double clicking with two fingers on the track pad zooms to a specific region of the page, repeating the gesture zooms out. For users with poor eye sight this is an incredibly important usability feature that is missing from Firefox.

Actual results:

Currently the feature is not implemented. Available add-ons do not sufficiently address the issue, and changes to settings in about:config do not produce sufficiently similar behavior.

Expected results:

Expected behavior is to follow Safari and Chrome in this regard, for users with poor eyesight who want to use Firefox, it is a significant barrier to adoption.

Setting as Core: Event Handling. I don't have a track pad so cannot test/verify this on my end.

Component: Untriaged → Event Handling
Product: Firefox → Core

This sounds a feature request/improvement for accessibility. I'm moving to Firefox/Disability Access module to have their inputs on priority.

Component: Event Handling → Disability Access
