Description

I was logged on sourceforge.net, filing a few reports and then quit mozilla.

Mozilla crashed and left the attached log.

This is not (as far as I can tell) reproducible, but just happens occasionally.

The next start is incredibly slow (rebuilding cache index or something?) without
any feedback.

I guess this is a NSS bug, because the crash is deep within NSS. It looks like
it crashes while closing a SSL connection and cleaning up certs.

Assining to NSS owners, cc'ing NSS people.

jnp: Do you crash with a trunk or a branch build or both?

Other quit crashes: bug 123097, bug 123358, and bug 142310.
Summary: crash on quit → crash on quit [@ PR_Lock]

Looking at the stack trace, I'm pretty suspicious of a 'SSL Socket Close after
NSS_Shutdown()' problem. It's crashing in PR_Lock, which usually means you
passed in a NULL or freed lock.

The crashes have happened with 1.0 (Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X;
en-US; rv:1.0.0) Gecko/20020529)

Sorry I forgot to tell that.

can somebody reproduce this with a recent Mozilla build like 1.1beta?

Marking works for me. I'm not seeing a crash on quit with recent builds.
