Details
linux x86 2002-06-13-04 It appears that we delay showing a new web page for a few seconds when it first starts loading, in order to limit the number of redraws necessary to complete the page. However, this also seems to affect other tabs in the same window. For example, if I start loading a page, and then hit "CTRL-T" to open a new tab, the keystroke will be ignored. After the page starts to be displayed, then it will recognize the keystroke again. Also, if I begin to load a page, and then attempt to switch to another tab to read something that's already opened, it seems to delay showing the new tab, as well as accepting keystrokes to scroll the new tab page.

Since bug 764595 comment 121 reopened many bugs that are dupes of each other (but not bug 764595 apparently), trying to better resolve the situation.
