I have multiple imap inboxes. One is from my school (ee.byu.edu) and others are
from an online imap server (myrealbox.com). When I have any mailbox from my
school account highlighted (INBOX, Drafts, etc) I can click on compose, write my
message and it sends it fine. I use at&t as my ISP on a dialup. The smtp
settings must be right or this message wouldn't send. When I am checking my
messages from myrealbox.com I can't click on compose (or forward any messages
from that domain). It pops up a message immediately about my smtp setting not
being right. As I understand it, it shouldn't matter what email box I'm
forwarding from, it should use the same smtp settings for all of them.

This bug is probably the same bug I'm experiencing on my computer. I'm running
Mozilla 1.0 (Build ID: 2002053012) on Windows 98SE. I have two IMAP accounts set
up. After launching Mozilla and only using one of the two IMAP accounts, I am
able to compose and send email. As soon as I use the second IMAP account, I can
no longer send email. When clicking the send button, an error message is
immediately displayed that says that Mozilla cannot connect to the SMTP server.
I sniffed all the packets from my computer and found that there are no
connection attempts to my SMTP server. In other words, based on the network
traffic, Mozilla isn’t even trying to connect to my SMTP server.

Reporter: Can you reproduce this bug with a recent build of Mozilla (for
example, 1.4rc2)?
