The Firefox 65 what's new page https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/65.0/whatsnew/?oldversion=64.0.2 links to https://support.mozilla.org/kb/tracking-protection which redirects to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/what-happened-tracking-protection?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=tracking-protection. That page doesn't have any link to the content blocking page https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/content-blocking and even worse it links to turning on Do Not Track, which doesn't help improve privacy https://gizmodo.com/do-not-track-the-privacy-tool-used-by-millions-of-peop-1828868324. (Not sure if that link is tied to this page or not...)

As your screenshot shows, the https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/what-happened-tracking-protection article has a single paragraph when viewed in Firefox 65. The sentence The privacy benefits of Tracking Protection are now part of content blocking. links to the https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/content-blocking article, which might not be obvious. (When viewed in Firefox 64, https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/what-happened-tracking-protection#firefox:win7:fx64 the page has more content and the link is in a note, To learn more about these features, see the Content blocking article.)

As far as the "See also" link to the "How do I turn on the Do Not Track feature?" article at the bottom of the page, that could be removed from the article Description if it isn't helpful.

I'll Need Info Joni, the SUMO Content Manager.

Thanks for bringing this up. I've replaced the "See also" link to "Do not Track" with "Content blocking." I've also added a note to call out Content blocking specifically.

I hope this makes users more aware of the content blocking feature, as it was easy to miss in the previous version of the article.

Thanks for the prompt response!

I tried to retest this again in Firefox 65. I went to https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/65.0/whatsnew/?oldversion=64.0.2 and clicked on the "learn more" link under Built-in Tracking Controls, but now that opens about:preferences#privacy for me!

Any idea what might be the reason?

(If I type https://support.mozilla.org/kb/tracking-protection in the address bar I can see the updated version of the page, which now looks great, thanks a lot for the quick fixes!)

I think the moz.org team intended for it to open about:preferences#privacy, but that UI links to the SUMO page. Thanks for giving us feedback. I'll close this bug now but let us know if you see anything else.
