I'm creating this metabug per :maire's request to try to track all of the work identified by the Gecko teams to support GeckoView performance in Firefox Reality during H1 2019.
At a high level, the goals are:
- Be able to play back video well and use the h/w decoding paths where available
- Run immersive experiences (WebVR/WebXR) within 20% of Oculus Browser on the Oculus Go
New feature work / non-performance work should be tracked separately.

Adding [geckoview:fxr:p1] whiteboard tag so the GeckoView team can track this bug.

Vicky, would you like me to close this bug out since we're entering H2? And maybe schedule another updated perf dive/update with your team and mine after we update everything to 64-bit and have a chance to newly evaluate all of the moving pieces? Thanks again for all the help in H1!
