Brief Description of the request: Firefox Product and ET would like to know how much market adoption the new AV1 video codec gets over time. The data is already collect in Telemetry under the MEDIA_CODEC_USED probe. But the current representation requires manual calculation of market shares. We would like to get a graph which shows market share per video codec over time.
Note: the result should separate between audio and video.

Hi Jess,

it is not blocking anything right now so it's not super high priority. But since Mozilla is heavily invested in the AV1 codec we would want to know if the investments are worth it (which is hard to say right now only looking at the raw numbers).
