Steps to reproduce:

  1. Search for anything or go to any website
  2. Quickly notice the URL star that signifies a favorited website turn blue for a ms

Actual results:

It will turn blue for a millisecond then go back to gray.

Expected results:

None of the websites I am visiting are favorited so it should not turn blue.
Take a look the video and notice the star on the right side of the URL bar

Not exactly, in that case it would stay blue when moving from a bookmarked page to an unbookmarked one, until the new page loaded.
But here all the pages are apparently unbookmarked; the "starred" attribute should never be applied.
It may also be a graphical glitch unrelated to the js code. I'm not sure yet.

Is this a clean profile? Did you bookmark about:blank by change? Or some google searches?

It would be interesting to see if this regressed at a certain point or has always been there.

I think I can see this occasionally, but only in dark mode, and it only tends to be for a couple of loads after startup.

I have just realized that the NEW TAB page was bookmarked by accident. After removing the bookmark, I can no longer reproduce this issue.
