Builds:

• Nightly 67.0a1 (2019-02-25);
• Beta 66.0b11;
• Release 65.0.1;

Steps to reproduce:

1. Go to https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-02-24/spain-tops-italy-as-world-s-healthiest-nation-while-u-s-slips

Expected result:
The page should load.

Actual result:
The page fails to load completely.

Notes:
Not reproducible on Chrome.

Hi Liz,
On Reference Browser (build 1.0.1909 #10561206), the page loads as expected.
On Focus (8.0.8 build #330452036) page loads slowly, but completely - see attached video for comparison.

This might be a progress bar issue. Eugen said he would take a look because he's working on some other progress bar issues.

I can not reproduce this on Focus or the latest GVE, however that behavior can change based on what resources the site serves.

Looking at the progress bar behavior, I assume that we never (or very very late) receive the pageShow signal and I've already planned to find a better replacement for that signal to avoid these visual stalls.

I can intermittently reproduce this issue on the latest GVE, as with most of these issues it's Gecko actually getting stuck loading the page.
In this case page load is stuck at executing a JS script (related to the video), so the rest of the page never finishes loading and we never receive the pageShow signal.

It may seem as the page has finished loading, but if you scroll down you will find that most of the site is blank.
I would say that the progress bar behaves correctly in this case.

Moving to the GeckoView product because Eugen said he could reproduce in GVE 67.

estirling thinks his fix for slow script bug 1521094 might change the behavior of this bug. After it lands, we should re-test this STR.
