Environment:
Devices:

  • OnePlus 5T(Android 9);
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 (Android 8);
  • Sony Xperia Z5 Premium (Android 7.1);
  • Huawei MediaPad M3 (Android 7.0);

Build: Beta 66.0b11;

Prerequisites: Tracking protection is enabled in private browsing;

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open private browsing and go to https://espn.go.com
  2. Tap the shield icon and choose "Disable protection" from the doorhanger.
  3. Tap the shield icon and press "Enable protection"
  4. Pay attention to security level indicator of the site.

Expected result:
A shield icon is displayed with the message:"Tracking Protection Enabled. Attempts to track your online behavior have been blocked."

Actual result:
"Insecure connection" it's displayed.

Notes:

  • It's reproducible 1/2 attempts.
  • It's not reproducible on the latest Nightly 67.0a1 (2019-02-25) and Release 65.0.1.
  • It's reproducible also after refreshing the page.

This seems to be fixed in nightly and I'm guessing it isn't a very common action for users.

Priority: -- → P3

I can reproduce this issue on the latest version of Beta 67.0b11 using Nexus 9 (Android 7.1.1).

Hi!
