[Affected versions]:
Beta 66.0b11

[Affected platforms]:
Platforms: Windows 10 x 64

[Steps to reproduce]:

  1. Open the site: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/box-shadow
  2. Open "Print" from the hamburger menu and print the page to PDF.
  3. Open the PDF in the browser.

[Expected result]:

The Box-shadow is displayed.

[Actual result]:

The Box-shadow is not displayed.

I tested this issue on Nightly 67.0a1 and I can't reproduce it.
See also bug 1316783.

Clarifying title a bit.

(From the attached screenhsot, it's not specifically the box-shadow that doesn't show up, but rather the whole iframe that includes the box-shadow -- including the text This is a box with a box-shadow around it inside of the shadowed box. That whole iframe seems to have not rendered, or perhaps it's been pushed off the side of the printed page somehow.)

FWIW: I tested on linux, with x86_64-bit Firefox Nightly 67, Beta 66.0b11, and release 65.0, and I wasn't able to reproduce. (Though based on the connection to bug 1527378, perhaps this is arm64-specific.)

Given that I'm not seeing any difference among release/beta/nightly, I wonder if this is just a sporadic issue depending on network blips or other random race conditions... Ovidiu, would you mind retesting to sanity-check whether there's really a difference between Beta and Nightly here? (And/or, do you know of any fixes that'd be repsonsible for this being fixed in Nightly but not beta?)

Summary: Box-shadow is not displayed when printed to PDF → iframe (with MDN box-shadow example) is not displayed when printed to PDF
Flags: needinfo?(ovidiu.boca)

Also: if your retesting does happen to confirm a beta-vs-nightly difference here, it'd be great if you could attach the actual "good" & "bad" PDF printouts themselves.

I retested this and I figured out that this is not reproducible, I will close it as invalid.
