Experiencing problems navigating Google Images via arrow keys. Seems that transition from lo-to-hi resolution cache loading halts ability to navigate using directional keys.

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.14; rv:65.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/65.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Input search (any) into Google Image engine.
  2. Left-click on search result (any) to enlarge and preview 'Similar Images'.
  3. Use x-axis arrow keys (right-left) to navigate and preview other search results.

Actual results:

When using the arrow keys to navigate, hi-res image previews load and halt the ability to use arrow keys for further navigation.

Expected results:

Fluid or continuous navigation ability using the arrow keys.

I've tested this report on Windows 10 and OS X 10.13 using the latest Nightly and Firefox release build. I did not manage to reproduce it. When using the arrow keys to navigate google images I`m able to do so without any issue. Can you please retest this using the latest Nightly build (https://nightly.mozilla.org/) and report back the results? When doing this, please use a new clean Firefox profile, maybe even safe mode, to eliminate custom settings as a possible cause (https://goo.gl/PNe90E).

I couldn't reproduce this on either MacOS or Windows10.
I guess if this may have been fixed on google image as we had a similar report before (bug 1524833) which isn't reproducible for me now, with several versions of Firefox.

Thanks for testing this out for me! Looks like they corrected the issue just after the report.
