Some filesystems support extended attributes (As far as I know it works on BeOS;
Linux support will be in the kernel soon and is available as a patch from
http://acl.bestbits.at; don't know about other OS)
It would be nice if Mozilla could store the MIME type of downloaded files in a
user attribute, e.g. "user.mime_type".
Another useful attribute might be "user.url" to store where the file came from.
This would make resuming aborted downloads easier.
