Steps to reproduce:

Please note this bug seems very similar to #270176 filed 15 years ago, but I'm still experiencing it today.

I've just installed Thunderbird 60.5.1 (64 bit) for Linux on a new pc and configured my IMAP account, so that all past messages have been synchronized at once.

Actual results:

As soon as emails with no Date header are downloaded, like the one reported below, Thunderbird shows the current download date/time (i.e. today March 7, 2019) in both Date and Received columns, instead of one of the timestamps available in the Delivered-To headers (i.e. Feb 13, 2019).

Real e-mail headers: (only my address and server name have been masked)

Indeed, then your issue is bug 266434

I think Bug 266434 could only be fixed for POP3, because the delivery headers aren't available when downloading IMAP headers.

So this is more a dupe of Bug 1361643.
